Christmas with the Robb & Lulu Team

It’s that time of year again: time to pause and reflect on the year that’s been. What a year we’ve been through. Trying to grow a company during a global pandemic has not been without its challenges, but we’ve kept pushing through and our little team at Robb & Lulu is looking forward to some well-earned rest and relaxation. Here’s what our team will be doing to unwind, and 3 things on their wish lists!

Lulu, Director & Creative Genius

Lulu Zagame wearing our organic cotton Charlotte multi-floral print skirt, and San Jose organic cotton women's t-shirt in white.

On Christmas Day I’ll behosting a lunch with my two little girls at our new house and will finally have the chance to use our extravagantly long 12-seater dining table, perfect for a mega feast! We will be drinking organic wine and munching on seafood, before finishing with a Pavlova decorated with organic fruits.
On my wish list:
  • A naturally aspirated Lamborghini Huracan V10 turbo in flaming red
I love my fast cars (who doesn’t?) and can’t wait until there are more options available in hybrid/electric options.
I can’t live without colour in my life, and that goes for my lips too! Pink is my favourite colour, so of course Rose Parisienne is one of my go-to lip colours.
I have fair skin, so hats are a must-have Summer accessory for me. Designed to last, and made from sustainably-sourced materials, I love how the ethos of Will and Bear aligns with that of my own company.

On Christmas Day I’ll be… Stuffing an 8kg turkey with my famous oyster stuffing and baking a Pavlova. I’ll be enjoying these over Christmas lunch with my wonderful family, and once we’ve recovered from the glut, we’ll be taking our dogs for a long walk on the beach.
On my wish list:
I love my sneakers, and I love how Cariuma is a company that has been built around core concepts of sustainability and ethical employment and production.
I’m still relatively new to Melbourne, and with the multiple lockdowns over the past two years, I haven’t really had a chance to properly explore my new home. This book seems like a great way to connect with the city, and enjoy it in a full sensory capacity.
Who doesn’t need a bit of rest and relaxation? I especially love how Essensorie creates their packaging from sugarcane, rather than petroleum, and offers refills on many of their products!

Nellie, Merchandise Planner Extraordinaire

On Christmas Day I’ll be… lazing at my parents place on the Sunshine Coast. My favourite part of the day is walking down their beach track, jumping in the water and watching the boys have their early morning Christmas surf.
On my wish list:
I can’t live without my water bottle, but I’ve been looking for a more environmentally friendly option for a while and love the Frank Green stainless steel range. Not only are they practical, but they look cute too!
I love a skin treatment, and the DMK at-home Enzyme Kit is my go-to when I don’t have time to book myself a facial. I love how it leaves my skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated, while being relatively easy to do myself.
I can’t do life without a good basic sneaker, and I love how Spring Court has stood the test of time to remain a timeless icon. Durability is the purest form of sustainability!

Chiara, Social Media & Marketing Guru

On Christmas Day I’ll be… spending the day with family. We will be eating good food, enjoying a few drinks & dancing in the garden.

On my wish list:
Saturday the Label is an amazing lingerie brand with sustainability at its core. They maintain an ethical production chain, while also only using biodegradable packaging. I also love how they offer in-house recycling for your old garments!
Bangn Body is one of my go-to skincare brands. I love how they’re Australian owned, use only organic products and don’t test on animals. Plus, their products always leave me feeling amazing!
Hunter Lab is a natural skincare company based in Melbourne with a focus on creating beautiful, gender-inclusive skincare. They prioritise natural ingredients, and are transparent about exact quantities, which is great as my skin always feels better without synthetic additives.

Emily, Wholesale Ops & Real-Life Carrie Bradshaw (Blogger)

On Christmas Day I’ll be… enjoying a seafood lunch, featuring prawns, cray and smoked rainbow trout, paired with a cool climate Riesling with my Dad, two younger brothers, and our Labrador Rosie and German Short-Haired Pointer Maggie.
On my wishlist:
The pattern on this beach towel was designed in-house by the team at Città, who partner with likeminded artisans when possible. I especially appreciate how sustainability, ethics and respect of provenance are core values of the brand.
I LOVE cooking, and am always interested in how I can reduce my environmental impact through what I eat. This cookbook has a great selection of different vegetarian recipes, featuring wholefoods and looks like it would be super inspiring!
I’m an absolute sucker for a good candle, and I love how this one smells just like the beach, which brings up fond memories of childhood summers with my family at my Grandma’s house at Inverloch. Etìkette is based in the Adelaide Hills, and their candles are created using soy wax and cotton wicks, in a reusable glass jar. They are also accredited climate positive!
